Blog Hoppin

With 3 children and lots of after school activities the week day dinner time can be very crazy. I tend to use the crock pot more. It is my little helper on days when you need to eat and run or run than eat. My favorite are Boston butt- you can do sandwiches, with the leftovers you can make anything from pasta, pizza and tacos. Beef tips over rice. Beef stew. Chili. Pot roast with potatoes and carrots.

But my all time favorite is crock pot fajitas. Super easy and fast.

In the morning (at the night before and stick in frig till the morning)
Put one can of Rotel, one pack of taco season mix in the bottom of crock pot. Mix together.
Add 6 chicken breast.
Top with sliced onions, sliced bell peppers, and fresh cilantro.
Cover and cook on low for up to 6 hours.
Remove chicken and shredd with 2 forks.
Add the chicken back to the crock pot and mix with the rotel mixture.
Serve with tortillas, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. ( or whatever taco toppings you like)

With the left overs I sometimes roll out frig pizza dough and top with the chicken and Mexican blend cheese. 2 meals!

Hope you enjoy!

Here is our baby boy.....Little Noah

He had surgery Friday to close the opening in his abdomen. As you can see it went well. He is doing great. They have taken out his nasogastric tube and started feeding. Jami and Blake got to hold him for the first time today. We are just so thankful for how well he is doing. Thank you all for your prayers. Please continue them. Jami and Blake are really beginning to be tired. Jami is doing way to too much, as if she has a choice. Her feet are really swollen and she is very sore. So pray for her resolve and strength. Patience was running low yesterday as well. But he is doing great and we look forward to him coming home soon.

Update on Baby Noah

I spent last night holding his little finger in the NICU. I think he is the most beautiful baby I have seen with the exception of my beautiful babies (grin). He is dark and has a ton of dark hair. Jami and Blake are doing well considering all they have had to deal with these last few days. Please continue to keep them in your prayers. As I can imagine they are getting tired and weary of all this. Here is the update.
Last night they were able to push the remaining intestines in so they were all inn now. He was very uncomfortable and in a lot of pain . They have him on pain medication every few hours. They also have a nasogastric tube in. This keeps his stomach empty. He has had many dirty diapers which is a good.
This morning he had surgery to close the opening.
I will give another update as soon as I have one. As well as post pictures.
Please continue to keep Noah in your prayers. We are praying for complete and total healing and that we will be able to take him home soon. We are all eager to hold and love on him. Janice and I joked that his face will be all wet from the kisses.

Noah Camden Creel is here!

I just wanted to update real quick about Noah. He was born yesterday the 4th at 4:32 pm. He weighs 7.6 ozs. I do not know how long he is yet. We were not able to see him, we did catch a glimpse of him as he was being wheeled into NICU and the grandparents saw him before he was transported to Children's hospital. The surgeon said it was a mild to moderate case and the prognosis is better than first thought. He had a procedure called a silo last night and he tolerated that well. We even got to hear him cry. Blake was with Noah at Children's and we were with Jami as she recovered. He is so cute, to us he looks a lot like Jami's baby picture. He has a headful of hair also. I will try and down load a picture soon. But for now we covet your prayers. 1. for Jami and Blake while we are excited how well Noah is doing this is very hard for Jami. She had to let him go after seeing him briefly. Anyone who has had a baby can imagine how hard that was. This is going to be a long road for them.
2. For Jami's healing and recovery- we are encouraging her to rest and sleep.
3. For Blake as he is going back and forth, that he too will rest and for strength in dealing with all the decisions that has to be made.
4. For the rest of the family. That we will all find some much needed patience and be supportive to one another as we can be.
5. For the doctors and nurses, that they make wise and good decisions about Noah's care.

Thanks,
Brandi
